Very few things outlive the person who started them.

Vernal Henry was a farm kid from near El Dorado Springs. As a junior in high school he purchased three outstanding registered Berkshires, because he understood what it meant to invest in something that would last.

He was president of his FFA chapter. The state of Missouri named him one of 245 Missouri FFA State Farmers.

He didn’t leave that behind. He kept building on it.

Vernal and his wife Sharyl built an insurance agency together, in the community where they were rooted. The same values. Neighbors protecting neighbors. Taking care of what people work for.

What they built became Mid-Missouri Insurance. Still operating from the same address in El Dorado Springs. Still serving this region. Still showing up for FFA chapters. Still your neighbor.

When we called Mid-Missouri Insurance in Lebanon about the Hope In Action Awards Banquet, they said yes.

That’s what Vernal Henry built.

In the Ozarks, this is what legacy looks like.

This community is built by the people and businesses who show up, not because they have to, but because they belong to something. These are the neighbors who make everything possible.
