This is an at-home scavenger hunt! It’s not like any scavenger hunt you’ve probably seen before. In this hunt, you are provided with a list of items and your goal is to find or create as many of the items as possible. But we want to see what you find and create. So, we have a way to submit your items on our website so we can see what you’ve done in the hunt.
How does it work? We’ll give you a list of 20 items and you pick the ones you want to do. For example, the item may be something like: “Using only organic items you find outside (grass, leaves, etc.), create a crown fit for a king. Show us your crown. (photo).” In this example, you would make a crown out of organic material and take a photo of the crown, either by itself or with someone wearing it. Your photo can be simple or completely intricate, dressing up like a king or queen and sitting on a royal throne. You can make this hunt what you want it to be. Let your creativity run wild! Your whole family is your “team” and you can complete items all together, in small groups, or individually. Complete the items however you’d like. If your family completes 5 items (submitting a photo or video for those 5 items on our website), then each child in the family will earn this month’s Junior Scavenger Hunter button. Submit your photos and videos at live2givehope.org/hunt. Photos and videos will not be shared unless you indicate they may be.
There will be prizes for the family that completes the most items and for the best submissions of each item. Creativity and good photos / videos will be more likely to win prizes for best item.
If the item indicates it may be submitted as a video, please keep the video to less than 15 seconds. Videos and high resolution images may take some time to upload, so please be patient.The Hunt begins September 9th and will last until September 20th at midnight. Please submit all of your items before the hunt ends. Complete 5 items per family to get your buttons.
