Yesterday the closet was full of energy.
About 50 students from two youth groups from Team FBC spent part of their Saturday serving our community. The 9th grade boys came first, followed by a group of middle school students.
They sorted donations, hung clothes, organized shelves, and helped get the closet ready for the families who will walk through the door this week.
They also learned a little about the foster system and why the closet exists — because sometimes children arrive in a new home with almost nothing.
Altogether they gave about 75 hours of volunteer time in one afternoon — more than $2,600 worth of work invested right back into this community.
Because of their help, the closet is ready for the children and families who need it.
Here in the Ozarks, this is what community looks like.
Partners
This community is built by the people and businesses who show up, not because they have to, but because they belong to something. These are the neighbors who make everything possible.
