Long before it had a building, the foundation of Live 2 Give Hope was built in Eldridge.
Prosperine Baptist Church is the kind of place where baptisms happen in the river and neighbors understand what it means to take care of one another.
For 32 years, John Angst preached there. Somewhere along the way, a group of young people were given something simple to do. Mow a yard for someone who couldn’t. Cut firewood before the cold came. Show up before anyone had to ask.
Simple things. Neighbor things.
He called the group Live 2 Give.
Since the beginning, Prosperine has faithfully supported Live 2 Give Hope as a monthly donor, giving each month to help serve families across the region.
Small church. Big heart.
