Kids become adults whether anyone prepares them for it or not.
Yesterday, Laura Gartin got the chance to speak to students from Marshfield Junior High School with the LifeSmarts (Adulting 101) class and talked about what that actually means.
Not just jobs and bills.
But people. Decisions. Responsibility. Community.
It wasn’t a speech. Just a conversation.
Because at some point, every student in that room is going to step into a life that’s theirs to carry.
And it helps when someone takes the time to show them what that can look like.
