Help Lake Area Youth Build the Skills They Need for Adulthood
This July, Live 2 Give Hope is bringing Paving the Way to Osage Beach.
Paving the Way is a free two-week life skills and driver’s education program designed to help young people gain the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills they need to succeed in adulthood. While the program is open to all eligible youth, priority is given to teens and young adults who have experienced foster care.
Many of these young people are preparing to enter adulthood without the support systems most of us take for granted. Paving the Way helps fill that gap.
Through hands-on instruction and real-world learning, participants gain practical skills in:
- Financial literacy
- Budgeting and banking
- Career readiness
- Home management
- Culinary skills
- Driver’s education
- Vehicle maintenance
- Personal responsibility and independence

Now entering its sixth year, Paving the Way has helped dozens of young people build a stronger foundation for their future.
